Today we are going to talk about 3 tiny lessons I have learned from podcasts I recently listened to. Even though they are just tiny lessons they can have a really huge impact on your life.

1.Tiny Leaps, Big Changes

Kinda loving this podcast because the episodes are short (about ten minutes) and packed with good information or techniques which are easy to include in your everyday life. You just have to figure out what works best for you.

In one of the first episodes he talks about `how to be more creative`. I am always interested in knowing how to get more (good) ideas for my blog, so this episode immediately caught my attention.

He suggested that we should gather pieces of content (like pictures, quotes,…) that inspire us. Then we can use the technique that another guy (I can’t quite remember his name) suggested: Write down 10 ideas every day. This will train your idea muscle to generate more content. I am trying out this technique for my blog; this blog post idea came from doing that. I will inform you later on how it went if you are interested in that.

He also said lists are easier to process for our brain. We should use this fact to include lists in our everyday life. For example to write down three things in the evening that made us happy that day.

2. The Mindful Kind

Absolutely in love with this podcast. She has such a lovely and soft voice! And good advice too. Her episodes are short; about ten minutes.

In the first episode she talks about meditation. I haven’t had any experiences with that because I always thought it is just a hype that is gonna get lost pretty soon. But it hasn’t so I will try to include it in my life.

Here is her meditation plan:

  • Look around and realize what is around you
  • Tune in what you can hear
  • Realize what your body feels like

She can describe it WAY better than me so be sure to check her out if you are interested in that. After a few month you will feel different, she said.

3. Happier With Gretchen Rubin

I haven’t listened to much of this podcast but I thought the first episode had a really powerful message. It is about 20 minutes long which is a great time for in-between.

She talked about the One Call Loophole. It basically says that every day is important. Do the stuff that you want to achieve every day – with no excuses!

Especially the cupcake example made me realize what this One Call Loophole actually means. Check it out to know what I am talking about. 🙂
