DO THESE 7 THINGS TO GET (AND STAY!) MOTIVATED
Do we not all want to feel constantly inspired and motivated? So we can check off the things that are on our massively long To-Do List? Well, you know as well as me that this is not realistic.
There are these crappy days where nothing is working the way it should. Nothing turns out great, you get frustrated and just want to lay in bed with a box of ice-cream and Netflix. This post is exactly for those days. I hope they will help you to get your head out of the ice-cream bowl and face the real world. <3
In case you haven’t heard of these mood or vision boards before, no worries! I will explain to you real quick what they are about. It is a place for you to gather content that inspires and motivates you. The purpose of it is remind you of your goals in order for you to achieve them.
- First of all you gather a piece of content that inspire and motivate you. They can be from old magazines, posters or pictures. They can represent your goals, your attitude or whatever feels right for you.
- Next step is to take a poster or a board, and glue/pin them on there.
It is YOUR vision board. You can make it look whatever you want, don’t judge yourself! It is not made to be pretty. Take a look at your vision board every day and you will automatically feel more motivated.
NOTE TO YOURSELF
Know those days where everything is just gliding off your hands? Blog posts, ideas, DIY...Everything you touch turns out great and you certainly feel inspired and motivated. Collect those emotions and write them done in addition with the things you like about yourself. If writing is not something you enjoy doing take a video of you or record your voice. This way you have a place to come back to for positive energy every time you feel down.
If you are a blogger or sitting on your laptop, phone or tablet for multiple hours a day you might get frustrated over time. Nothing real changes and the same old things happen all over again. To bring a little swing into this situation, do the obvious and change your background pictures. A cute quote or a pictures with your loved ones will do the job perfectly fine.
A tiny change can have a huge impact.
Place little quotes throughout your home. It can be a quote you found on Pinterest or something a person who is important to you said. I got a little quote of one of my loved ones in my phone case to remind me there is always good in the bad.
No matter when you look at them they will always make you smile. If you got too used to seeing them change it! It is the same little thing like the background pictures that can have a huge impact.
TALK TO OTHERS
I don’t know if I am the only person who feels like that but every time I talk to another person or friend I discover thoughts within me I didn’t even know existed before. Your friends will either make you smile and laugh; or they will calm you down by listening to your problems. Therefore it cleans your mind up and there is room for other feelings again.
Even if you don’t feel like meeting or seeing someone because you act like a grumpy cat, your friends will accept you. It is okay to be grumpy; just talk to them about it. Everything will be better, promise!
TRY SOMETHING NEW
I mentioned this before but little changes can have a huge impact on your life. Never underestimate the small things.
I would recommend you to try out something new like yoga or tennis. Whatever sounds interesting to you; give it a go! They are frightening at the beginning, I get ya, but it is totally worth the excitement. Afterwards you will feel refreshed and proud of yourself. You have the power to do everything you put in to your head. Just give it a go. What if it sucks? Then it sucked but know you know it does.
Change perspectives. Going outside will help you to clear your head from all the busy stuff that you want to get done. Fresh air will probably give your brain a little kick so you are able to keep up with your work or project. Red, green and yellow leaves will support your idea muscle in order for you to come up with more (awesome) ideas.
I hope these tips helped you and you will get into the mood of creating something amazing again. Do you have any other tips on how to get motivated again? I would love to know!
