HOW TO GET A KICK-ASS BLOG

Hey there!

Have you ever wondered how you can get successful with your blog? Sameee over here! I am talking you through some really helpful articles that will help you to make the first steps to either start or improve your blog.

At first I was so intimidated by the actual writing that I waited about a week before I wrote my first blog post ever. That is why it was SO important for me to write this post because the articles below really helped me to get over my fear and START.

Putting yourself out there will always be intimidating. But with each blog post you write, and with each picture you take it will get easier.

You have to work (hard) in life to get what you want. Sitting around on the couch will not get you to where you want to be! Click To Tweet

1.| THE FIRST POST

The first blog post that helped me to overcome my fear and start blogging is “7 Fears I Had Before I Started Blogging” by Sam from ‘The Smart Twenties’. Sam’s post showed me I am not alone with my anxiety and struggles. It is funny to see how similar our fears are!

I was scared that nobody cares to read what I have to say. That everybody would laugh at me.

Sam is an amazing writer who is honest and funny. Her blog is absolutely amazing and I have learned SO much from her words. If you need something to cheer you up a little, she is the person to go to!

So many people don’t start a blog. Not because they are bad writers but because they are scared and intimidated. They find excuses to not starting one.

2.| LIFESTYLE BLOGGING 101

The next post is “Lifestyle Blogging 101” by Rosie from ‘The Londoner’. She tells her story about why she started blogging and gives helpful advise for taking the first steps.

One thing she said really stuck with me: “Just relax and enjoy it. I always say, just pretend you’re sitting across from your friend on a sofa with a nice cup of tea telling them about your day. Write as you would speak.”

I got ya, you want to make money blogging (most of you). There’s no problem with turning your blog into a business. Never forget blogging is more than a business; it is a lifestyle.

3.| SEO

Maybe you have heard of SEO which is the Search Engine Optimization. Sounds pretty confusing, I get ya! No worries! I got these awesome post about it: “6 Easy Ways to SEO Your Next Blog Post” by ‘The Bellezza Corner’. Made it much easier for me to understand it (still no pro at it).

SEO is a MUST for your blog. Sorry, but it is true. There are a few things you have to do when owning a blog and this is one of it.

4.| PHOTOGRAPHY SKILLS

Damn, taking blog pictures is so hard. Especially still life photography makes me sweat (eww) every time I think about it.

Definitely check this blog post out: “How to Style Overhead Still Life Photos” by the Nesting Place.

I mean, just look at her pictures! I can just dream of taking such good pictures!

5.| CREATIVITY

And if you need tips on “How To Be More Creative” by A. J. Jacobs for your blog posts I recommend checking this article out. I am SO obsessed with this, I even printed it out and hung it on my wall!

A lesson that he taught me? “Accept failure. Enjoy it, even. Embrace the suck, for the suck is part of the process.” (Ha Ha, isn’t that genius?!)
